Rules
Preamble
- The World Corporate Champions Cup is sanctioned by the Fédération international de football corporatif (FIFCO)
- The following rules is supplementary to the Laws of the Game of the Fédération Internationale de Football Associations (FIFA)
- FIFCO reserves the right to limit access to players who do not adhere to the ethical standards and the spirit of the tournament
- Any and all rules not foreseen by this document will be the privy and discretion of FIFCO
Team Obligation
- Respect all tournament rules
- Only wear the uniforms provided by the tournament (no exceptions)
- Respect the principles of the FIFCO Always Play Fair Programme
Uniforms & Team Colours
- All participating teams will be provided with two different shirts, and goalies with 2 different sets of colours
- The visiting side must change colours in case of colour similarities
- Only the tournament provided uniforms are permitted at all times
- Shin guards are obligatory at all times for all players
Length of Play
- All games will be played at 2 halves of 15 minutes
- During the playoffs, in case of a tie – the game will be decided by penalty shoot out
Field of Play
- The playing surface has been determined to be at 40m long and 25m wide
- Touch lines have been demarked through cones
Match Ball
- Only a FIFCO-Approved Match Ball is permitted to be used in all official games
- A size 4 Official Sala ball will be used for all games during the competition
Registration, Number of Players & Game Sheet
- A maximum of 12 players are allowed to be registered per team.
- The same 12 players must remain for the duration of the tournament
- No substitution from the original registered players will be tolerated
- Each game must have a minimum of four (4) dressed players ready to play 5v5
- Each player must be clearly identified on the official game sheet and submitted before the start of the tournament
- A team in default of art 20 will automatically lose the game with a score of 3-0 in favour of the opposing team
Time granted to begin the game
- Referees will accord five (5) minutes and 1 second to allow for the respect of Art. 20 to commence the match. Failure to comply, will result in an automatic forfeit loss for the team at fault
Substitution
- All substitutions will be done “on-the-fly” on a rolling basis without requesting a change to the referee
- “On-the-fly” changes must be made at the centre line only on the side of the player benches
- Goalies must request a change and can be done only at a stoppage of game
- Any player on the field may replace the goalkeeper provided that the referee is informed beforehand of the replacement.
- All illegal substitution will result in a booking for the offender and the award of an indirect free kick to the opposing team at the half-way line
Game Rules
- Ball out of bounds: there will be a “kick-in” instead of a throw-in
- Goals cannot be scored from a kick-in
- Goaler kick must be handled with hands and must be cleared on his half before crossing the centre line
- Goaler is allowed to slide-tackle within his own goaler area
- No slide-tackling at any time
- Corner kicks must be placed on the corner and not in the arch
- All free kicks are direct; opposing players must be five (5) meters from the ball
- Fast play is encouraged; failure to allow a player to play quick will result in an automatic booking
Sin Bin
- A player who contests the decision of the referee will see him put out of the game for a period of no less than ten (10) minutes. No bookings will be shown. This player can be replaced
- If the same player persists and is issued a second Sin-Bin during the same game, he will be automatically suspended for one game
- Repeat offenders will be removed from the remainder of the tournament
Yellow & Red Cards
- Whoever receives two (2) yellow cards in the same game will be shown a red card and will be removed from the game. The team will have to play one player short
- Player accumulates two (2) yellow cards during the tournament will receive a one (1) game suspension
- Whoever receives a red card during the game will be immediately suspended for the duration of the match and the following game. The player must leave the playing area and the player box immediately
- Red card offences will be reviewed by the disciplinary committee to decide on any additional sanction
- A player on the bench receiving a red card must leave the playing area. The team can remain at 5 players on the field.
- Coaches are equally subject to the yellow and red cards
Standings
- During the tournament, the allowance of the points will be done in the following way:
- Three points for a victory;
- One point for a tied match;
- Zero point for a defeat;
- The tournament may decide on another method of classification, with the proviso of advising all the participating teams before the beginning of the competitions.
- Any match won by default or forfeit will result in a score of 3-0. If the number of goals scored by the winning team is higher than three, this number will be entered in the standings.
- Any decision as for the forfeit or default or other issues of a match must be approved by the organisers in order to have full effect.
- In the case of a double equality (two teams) or multiple (three teams and more), the criteria used will be, in the order, the following;
- The greatest number of points obtained at the time of the matches between the teams concerned;
- Victories obtained between the teams concerned;
- Difference between the goals for and the goals against for each match played between these teams;
- Difference between the goals for and the goals against with the classification general;
- The number of goals for to the classification general;
- Drawing of lots.
Playoff Round
- The final standings will determine the elimination round games.
- All yellow and red cards accumulated during the tournament will NOT be carried over into the playoff round. Disciplinary sanctions imposed, however, will remain in effect into the playoff round.
Complaints and Protests
- In all the competitions, any infringement of the rules must be reported to the referee, before, during or at the end of a match. It will be indicated on the game sheet, signed by the coach or the person in charge. A complaint can also be deposited in writing to the organisers, immediately following the end of the game.
- A complaint should relate only to one infringement. Several complaints in the same match must be the subject of as many infringements.
- The study of the complaints to be treated by the organisers will be done behind closed doors, in accordance with the procedure established in the rules of discipline.
